Celebrating 104 years in business, The Shelbourne Bakery and Restaurant has long been synonymous with quality. Purchased around 20 years ago by Mr. Hugh Boyle from the Mooney family, and now developed further with his son Hugh Jnr. and their dedicated team.
The business has been transformed with new kitchens, a bakehouse, and a beautifully designed shop and extended restaurant. Located in the former White Cross Hotel on Margaret Street, the restaurant blends sophistication with heritage — the original White Cross lettering still visible on the façade. Inside, guests enjoy a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by local and international art from names such as Graham Knuttel and John Kingerley, with all pieces available for sale. With a recent extension adding 30 more seats, The Shelbourne now welcomes over 200 guests, offering a timeless experience where tradition meets modern elegance.
